4. MAHANADI

5. GODAVARI
Godavari is a river that runs from the western to the southern end of India. They are also considered to have great religious significance. Apart from Ganga and Yamuna, Godavari also has exceptional religious significance in India.
Godavari is the the holy river of India. According to the Puranas, one should visit the Ganges river only after visiting Godavari. There are many pilgrimage places on the banks of river Godavari. The main place of pilgrimage is Trimbakeshwar, the ancient temple of Lord Shiva.

6. Narmada River
The Narmada River is a large and important river in the central and western part of India. The Narmada River is considered the lifeblood of Madhya Pradesh as it plays an important role in agriculture, irrigation and transportation through inland waterways.

Narmada is also considered as the holiest river as many religious places including Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga are situated on its banks. It is considered to be the third longest river in India which flows within its boundaries behind the Godavari and Krishna rivers.

7. Kaveri river
